Menstrual Hygiene Day 2022

Theme :Making Menstruation a Normal Fact of Life  by 2030

In a way to better celebrate this day and raise awareness, Talikong Loveline Musah, CEO of United Youths Organization encourages some men to show their support by honoring them with the Menstruation Bracelet( which is a symbol to show that menstruation is not something to hide). Our advocacy campaign had one officials from UN women, Women in Action Against Gender Based Violence  and  a host of other key staff of UYO not leaving women and girls too.

Second activity was capacity building to children. This activity brought together some young boys and girls in a bit to share experience and perceptions thus reducing stigma on girls. The participants in a bit to express appreciation requested such activities on MHM be often organized for them to learn and share thier experiences. Special was the production and dissemination of MH bracelets amongs the peers as a sign of commitment that menstruation ? is a normal thing.

Women and Girls are untapped wealth Africa is still to make use so there is high need to prepare them by all means. Menstruation is one of the limitations for young women and girls in discovering their full potential. The global bells to which UYO has added her voice is to combat mentruation stigma, join efforts with He4She, and altimately by 2030 we have a world where no no woman or girl is kept from realizing her full potential because she menstruate. This the CEO /President Talikong Loveline reiterated. Amongst the 85participants were some men and boys who stood as He4She in the inclusion of boys and men as actors in the fight against menstrual stigma.
