UYO Trains Community leaders from Belo and Batibo on GBV Protection

The United youth organization takes in 40 women led and right groups from both Batibo and Belo to train in preventing, mitigating and responding to GBV (gender based violence) in a two-day workshop 29-30th July 2022 marking an important day and a way forward to an advancement the UN Women/CERF funded project.

Chief of Administration and Finance Melvin Songwe Shuye who doubles as the Project Manager for CERF, on behalf of the CEO Talikong Loveline Musah  welcome the 40participants and chaired them up especially those from Batibo who braved the odds and made it for the workshop. He went further to instill in the WLO/WROs the spirit and zeal to be frontline ambassadors in the prevention and protection of GBV amongst women and girls. The Facilitators Boyo Maureen and Ngoran Christabel Tatinyuy provoked the women to  be resilient through community driven approach for the well being of Batibo and Belo communities. The women’s capacity were build through a participatory approach on GBV prevention, mitigation and respond, risk management.
