MELVIN SONGWE SHUYE, founder and former CEO of United Youths Organization (UYO) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Yaounde ll Soa during which he equally obtained a training course from Remember Africa (RA) and an On-line training from Kantari Intake in India with thesis “Career Orientation, the root curse of Unemployment in Cameroon”. SONGWE is a Youth Activist, entrepreneur, Volunteer and an enthusiastic social justice advocate.  In 2019, Melvin handed over the mantle of leadership as CEO of UYO to Talikong Loveline and now doubles as the Chief of Administration/Finance and Programs Manager.

Amongst others, SONGWE, mounts as the Project Manager of the United Nations Women/Central Emergency Fund Project under UYO, a humanitarian and talent promoter for women and youth led organizations in North West region of Cameroon, North West Regional Adviser to the Cameroon National Youth Council, Regional Board of Directors for Multipurpose Youth Empowerment Center and the Coordinator of the Faith in the Commonwealth Trainers Network in Cameroon. In the year 2018, SONGWE was nominated into the African Youth Parliament (AYP) and a year later voted into the Position of Principal Deputy Speaker of the said organization.
