With more than 3 years’ experience, in financial management, working with humanitarian response projects from International, National organizations, UN agencies, I developed a result oriented based approach for my work, knowing that every financial operation, must be linked to an output. As the Accountant for UYO monitoring and controlling financial inflows and outflows for our projects, accountability, and transparency, has been the core values of the finance department. with the professional experience i have gotten, through financial management capacity building workshops, using financial management tools,(Globe Data base solution accounting software, coded excel sheets), hands-on training from national and international finance experts in various organizations, I now have a comprehensive financial management background, in creating financial systems and procedures. This exposure has therefore grounded me with knowledge and expertise in financial planning, controlling and book keeping.
I hold a Bachelor of Science and Higher National Diploma in Banking and finance where I gathered knowledge and skills in financial management. As a citizen accountant and civil society member, I have found passion for community development, especially in the areas of GBV and gender equality, by upholding my integrity at the highest level, as protecting human dignity have been the seat of my career.
With UYO recent projects with UN agencies, my learning opportunities have increased as these projects have given me the exposure I need to advance my career ,and also contribute in building a Cameroon society where, accountability, transparency and inclusion is practiced.
